I created a conceptual font made entirely from leftover food scraps over a week. Each letter formed from what I didn’t finish/eat; banana peels, leftover carrots, bits of dinner, it was a personal exploration of food waste awareness. The project made me reflect on what I discard and prompted me to be more mindful. To showcase the font’s playful yet thought provoking nature, I designed mock posters for imagined events; like a Steve Aoki concert, tying his signature cake throwing to my food centric type. Each poster playfully connected the font to a relevant theme, amplifying its message of awareness.
