MOTION GRAPHICSTHE FEAST

In this short stop-motion film, I explored how different cultures have offered to the moon throughout history. Using phases of the moon as my data set, I crafted a claymation narrative that combines traditions from ancient Rome, Han-dynasty China, and Māori myth. The moon grows larger with each offering; an apple, a mooncake, until it acquires a taste for blood and turns on its final giver, referencing the Aztec and Māori stories of greed. Blending collage, motion graphics, and intricate sound design, I created a layered re-imagining of lunar folklore through a modern lens with homage to older film making techniques such as claymation.

  LUNA LUNA

For Luna Luna’s "Forgotten Fantasy", I created a playful motion graphic as a creative mockup. Inspired by the exhibition’s funfair style take on fantasy worlds, I used collage elements, vibrant motion, and an upbeat soundtrack to mirror the energy of the exhibition. It was my vision of blending informative content with the whimsy of the event’s aesthetic.

SLASHING THE STEREOTYPE

“Slashing The Stereotype” is my undergrad thesis film project at Parsons Paris. It uses a retro horror aesthetic, taking insporation from horror films dating from the 50’s to the 70’s, to tell a story that remains incredibly relevant today. The film follows a woman who kills to take her victims’ “perfect” features; small nose, big lips etc. only to become a monstrous reflection of those beauty standards.  Though she has pieced together her dream face, at the end of the film she remains unhappy as “fixing” the outside cannot cure the broken feeling that lies within. She goes so far to acheive what society has deemed as the ideal woman, that she ends up a monster on the outside and the inside.
